This paper focuses on the application of automation control technology for instruments and meters in the chemical industry. It explains the fundamental concepts, classifications, key technical supports, and development trends, analyzes the application of automation technology in production process control, safety protection and emergency management, quality monitoring and optimization, identifies existing problems in terms of technology, management, and safety, and proposes optimization strategies including technical upgrades, improvement of management systems, and enhancement of safety assurance. The study aims to provide reference for the development of automation in the chemical industry.
